Beauty and the Beast – Sean Malto

Today’s two images are of Sean Malto at the Highland Plaza. I like to think of Malto as the kid who filled the void for Girl after Jereme Rogers and Paul Rodriguez left to go ride for Plan B. The kid is good. He’s technical. He’s got style. He’s young.
Malto, nose-wheelie just before he flicks out at the end (Koston looks on).
Malto with a nollie-crooks on the rail.

They were an hour and a half late, but when they showed, they destroyed. Howard, Koston and Malto were out first, skating around, getting used to the layout. I heard Rick and Eric say, “yeah, it’s pretty cool!” They were definitely into the park. Soon after, someone yelled, “is that all?” “Where’s everyone else?” (or something like that).
Brian Anderson suddenly appeared, then Julien Stranger, then Alex Olson. Rick McCrank came out and charged immediately like he always does. Carroll on the other hand, was seen eating a sandwich and handing out cold waters to everyone on both teams. Why wasn’t he skating? Shouldn’t Sam Smythe have been doing the water stuff?
Anyway, I’m going to add a few pictures of the event each day to get you to come back to the site. I’ve got some good ones.
Patrick O’Dell was even there. Below are a couple of Rick Howard, who skated the hardest I’ve seen him skate.
Big Ollie out to 50/50 and then back in on the Stamped and Dyed Brick Banks.
S/S Nose Manny all the way across and then down the steep bank. Easy Rick, take it easy man.
